LEADERSHIP AND NETWORKING SUMMIT

The Annual Leadership and Networking Summit provides the setting for intensive learning and networking among community leaders that are part of CTAC’s community development initiatives. Leaders come together in a state-of-the-art conference center to discuss and analyze their organization’s experiences with peers from other organizations, other cities, and states, as well as to learn from invited guests and CTAC’s experienced staff team.

Each year, a summit theme is chosen based on needs and interests. For example, CTAC’s 2008 summit theme, “A Powerful Place at the Table: Grassroots Leadership in Community Collaborations,” allowed leaders to explore strategies for not only securing a place at the table, but for being well-connected and powerful players. In 2009, community leaders engaged around the theme, “Meeting the Challenge: Community Leadership and Impact in a New Era,” to consider how they are exercising their leadership and building their capacity to enable the change their communities and constituencies require amidst a shifting economic and political landscape.
