Director, Education Field Operations
Lead CTAC education teams and provide onsite assistance to urban school districts and states to strengthen school planning, build accountability systems, and institutionalize management and instructional strategies that improve student achievement. Provide hands-on technical assistance to superintendents, state officials, management teams, principals, and school sites. Manage multiple education projects; prepare and present proposals, reports, and other publications. Requires extensive leadership experience within public school systems as a superintendent or equivalent. Requires extensive experience in program and team management and content area experience in education reform, policy, compensation reform, school improvement, accountability and professional development. Doctorate preferred.
Senior Associate, National School Reform
Senior level position to provide on-site assistance to districts and states to improve school planning, build accountability systems, and strengthen management, professional development and instructional strategies. Prepare and present training curricula and materials. Coordinate project activities. Requires leadership experience within public school systems as a senior level administrator or principal. Requires extensive experience in systemic reform and program management. Masters degree required, doctorate preferred.

In response to expanding community needs, Community Training and Assistance Center is seeking a dynamic individual to be part of its professional team. This senior level position requires working independently and in teams, to organize and implement programmatic aspects of CTAC’s initiatives in education and community development. This is a rare opportunity for a gifted professional seeking to have a significant impact on communities and public institutions.
The Senior Associate position requires both vision and detail orientation, strong communication skills, outstanding organizational and planning skills, and effective interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will demonstrate content knowledge in education reform and/or community organizing; effective program planning and management, versatility to be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and a proven ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team. This position involves national travel, as well as some evening and weekend obligations.
Preferred qualifications include: Masters degree in a related discipline; outstanding communication and organizational skills; expertise in providing technical assistance and training to develop leadership in multiracial urban settings; fluency in Spanish or other languages.
Administration
Director of Development & Communications
The Director of Development and Communications will (1) identify and cultivate relationships with current and potential foundation, corporate and government funding sources, (2) serve as principal researcher, writer and manager of CTAC’s proposal development process, and (3) create and implement a marketing plan targeting potential funders, client groups and the media. Qualifications: BA required, MA preferred, minimum 10 years experience in education/community development fundraising on a national level, excellent writing and communication skills, knowledge of database management and web site communications, and demonstrated ability to work well in a racially and culturally diverse team environment. National travel required.
